Password Policy Enforcer allows network administrators to create and enforce multiple Windows domain and local password policies. A password policy ensures that users are choosing strong (difficult to crack) passwords. PPE checks every new password for compliance with the password policy. Passwords that do not comply with the policy are instantly rejected. Password Policy Enforcer even helps users to choose compliant password.
Unlike password cracking products that evaluate passwords after they have been accepted by Windows, PPE checks and rejects passwords in real-time. This ensures that weak passwords are rejected before they jeopardize network security.
A self-service password reset option is also available, it allows users to reset their password and unlock their account without calling the helpdesk.
